Lighting -
Don't struggle, we can help!
Lighting on your car causing a problem? Can’t fit the new bulb?
Modern cars can set a real challenge when it comes to changing your light bulbs. Accessing is not always easy!
We can supply and change the light bulbs for you. And if the problem is more than a broken bulb, we can help get your lighting system working again.
Why you should drive with your lights on – even during the day
You might not think you need your headlights on in daylight, but keeping them on can actually make a big difference to your safety on the road.
Cars with their lights on are much easier to spot in all sorts of weather – whether it’s fog, rain, or bright sunshine that creates glare.
In fact, many European countries now make daytime driving lights compulsory, and the statistics show fewer accidents as a result.
If you’re worried about wearing out your bulbs faster, don’t be. Modern bulbs, like Bosch’s Longlife or Plus 90 ranges, are designed to last longer and give you brighter, more efficient light.
So, whether it’s day or night, clear skies or drizzle – flick those headlights on and stay visible out there.
When should you use your fog lights?
Fog lights are there to help you see – and be seen – in poor visibility, but they’re not for everyday use. Using them at the wrong time can dazzle other drivers and actually make things less safe.
Here’s what to remember:
Front fog lights should only be used when visibility is seriously reduced by fog, heavy rain or snow.
Rear fog lights must only be switched on if visibility drops below 50 metres (about the length of six cars).
If in doubt, it’s usually best to leave them off. And if you’re not sure your fog lights are working properly, just pop in and we’ll be happy to check them for you.
